Dear Sari:
A man writes in about what to do in a family where everyone has ADD.
Sari's response:
Since you have online capabilities you may want to contact a resourceful and reputable
site www.addconsults.com for books on couples with ADD. My advice is to hold on tight.
You need support, both emotional and physical and may find it with friends, relatives,
professionals, coaches, tutors, or household help. Figure out exactly what is the great
need. You probably will need some coaching or counseling to figure out a plan. Please
don't try and do it alone. Laugh a lot and value your differences. Make sure everyone
is doing something they are good at some of the time. Protect your time together as a
couple away from the areas of chaos and conflict. Work on accepting that you will be
different than non-add families. Find other like minded people.
