1st Presentation:
RENEWAL Three hour retreat for women with ADD. Sari Solden, author of Women with ADD brings a mini version of her RENEWAL program to ADDA. RENEWAL is an acronym for Relaxation, Education, Networking for Women with ADD lives. Sharing with others with similar experiences brings needed identification and a more positive view of your self and your differences. Exercises are designed to facilitate introspection and exploration of feelings about yourself, relationships, and the differences that affect role expectations for women. By reducing shame and building confidence, the retreat is intended as a trigger for change as well as for self-acceptance. 2nd Presentation: Women,
Power, and ADD A conversation between and the participants about how women give away power because of their differences and how power in relationships is tied to a woman's self image and view of her difference's. Do you give away your power or rights in relationships because of your ADD? Bring your questions about relationships with friends, associates, relatives intimates, children, spouses, parents, and professionals. Sari will share some the commonly asked questions he has received over the last few years about the power dynamics in relationships for women with ADD. 3rd Presentation:
Meanwhile I Keep Dancing This presentation draws on material from Sari's new book - due out at the beginning of 2002 on the challenge of keeping hope, spirits, and sense of self alive and well while continuing to struggle with the life long challenges of ADD as an adult. For beginners but specially for those who may feel stuck months or years after diagnosis and initial treatment. Learn how after the well known "grief cycle" comes an Identity Crisis and a search for meaning and identity. Also, learn about the psychological passages or turning points you may need to confront in order to continue moving through a successful ADDulthood.

Journeys Through
ADDulthood:
Discover a New Sense of Identity and Meaning While Living with Attention
Deficit Disorder My new book titled The Journey Through ADDulthood;
Discover a New Sense of Identity and Meaning While Living with Attention
Deficit Disorder is now available. The book has been published by Walker
& Company in October 2002. I have developed a framework to meet the
needs of men and women who, over the long term, have become stuck in their
efforts to deal with their symptoms and who have found their dreams and
goals curtailed.
The Journey Through ADDulthood
explores the continuation of a life long journey, when the outward search
for answers turns to an inward search of on'e's real self, a self that has
been buried for years under piles of unrealized dreams. Here's what ADD
expert and author of Driven to Distraction, Edward Hallowell, MD says
about the new book: Sari Solden's new book, The Journey Through
ADDulthood, is a gem. It offers a wealth of wisdom, sound advice,
reassuring experiences, as well as hope. Sari is one of the true sages in
this field. She has lived ADHD, she has treated countless adults who have
ADHD, she has learned from as many people as she has taught and her every
anecdote comes steeped in reflection and hard-earned experience. Her
conclusions can be trusted and treasured. This book is like Sari herself:
warm, wise, intelligent, humble, humorous, hopeful, and strong. Edward
Hallowell, MD Author of Connect, Worry, and Driven To Distraction.
